I made this cute little purse for our Make N' Take at the benefit crop this past weekend.  It's cut from the Artiste cartridge (3D Object>Q key, 4 1/2 inches).  I can't get enough of these fun, easy projects you can make with our Close to My Heart Cricut cartridges.  If you'd like to spend a whole evening making fun 3D projects like this, sign up for my 3D Fun Class on Thursday, June 13th, 6 p.m.  You can purchase these spectacular Cricut cartridges from my website, http://christina.ctmh.com.

Projects for my April Clubs

Chantilly is our featured paper pack for club projects this month.  Here's a photo of the layout and a couple of the cards we'll be doing at club this month (we'll also be doing at least one of the cards featuring the April Stamp of the Month--scroll down a little to see those).
The Chantilly paper pack is full of beautiful pastel spring colors, but it also has just a touch of Outdoor Denim (navy) in it.  I used the Outdoor Denim color to help balance out the dark colors in my photos and to make the title pop off the page.
I used a mixture of flowers--many of them cut from the Artiste or Art Philosophy Cricut cartridges.  I also cut some of the flowers from the coordinating Chantilly textiles (fabric).  I didn't cut my fabric flowers on the Cricut--instead, I cut a flower out of cardstock from the Cricut and then traced it onto the back of my fabric and cut it by hand.  I think you can cut fabrics on the Cricut, but you'll probably first need to put some kind of stabilizer on the back of it.

Pamela O'Connor posted a card similar to this on our Consultant bulletin board, and I just had to try one for myself.  The yo-yo's (accordion flowers) are cut on the Artiste cartridge (I think I cut the pieces about 1 to 1 1/4").

I taught this card to my club members a few years ago, and it was really fun to revisit it with such CUTE paper!!  I've heard the card called a "tri-fold shutter card" and a "tri-shutter" card. . .you can find the pattern on www.splitcoaststampers.com (look under Resources).

This card features our Chantilly paper pack along with the April Stamp of the Month. . .this is one of the cards we'll be making in our April clubs

I saw a card similar to this (made by Allisa Chilton) and HAD to try it for myself. . .so fun with all these Cricut shapes!  The clouds are also cut from the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  To get the cloud pattern in the background, I cut a cloud on the Cricut, then sponged around it in Crystal Blue ink a few times.

This card design idea came from fellow Consultant Wendy Coffman.  The papers from the Chantilly paper packet look so cut with this stamp set!
