May Stamp of the Month--You've Got a Friend

Stamp of the Month Cards

Okay--better late than never!  Thought I'd show you a few cards that I've made with the April Stamp of the Month, Balloon Talk.  This stamp set is really versatile--you have lots of phrases and speech bubbles to pick from, so it works for both layouts and cards. 

 

For the top card, I stamped the empty speech bubbles all over the background in Chocolate Ink.  "Thanks," "Fab," and "Awesomeness" are stamped in Twilight, Chocolate and Goldrush, and I used the coordinating cardstock to mat the pieces on the card.

 

For this card, I stamped the baby carriage stamp in Staz-On ink and colored it with our alcohol markers (in Cotton Candy).  The background is embossed with one of our new embossing folders (love them) and the speech bubble is stamped in Cotton Candy.

 

I saw a card similar to this online somewhere--I just switched out and used Laughing Lola paper and coordinating ink colors (Lagoon, Gypsy and Black).  This would work with ANY paper pack--just switch out the patterned papers and the speech bubbles to work for the occasion you need it.

April Club Projects

We're doing layouts with the Timberline paper packet for April Workshop Club, Monday, April 21st (10 a.m. or 6:30 p.m.).  This paper pack has been a BIG hit with my customers--it's perfect for camping trips, fishing trips, any outdoorsy event.  For the layout, I cut an overlay using the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  I also used the Timberline stickers and the Timberline Assortment as accents.  If you'd like to join us for club this month, let me know ASAP.  It's optional to purchase the stickers and the Timberline Assortment, but if you want them in time for class, we'll need to order them ahead of time.

 

 

Card makers will be making a couple of Timberline cards this month featuring the adorable Happy Camper stamp set (C1578, $13.95).  We'll probably have a third card using the April Stamp of the Month. . .stay tuned for that!

 

Pennant Frame Workshop--Thursday, April 10th

 

I'm a big fan of our My Creations products--they're just a blank slate waiting for creativity to happen!  The Pennant Frame (Z1941, $8.95) is no exception.  And, here's what I like even more about it:  you can use the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to cut the paper for this frame (p. 76, Photo Mat 2, cut at 9 1/2 " Real Dial Size).

One tip from me:  when working with chipboard, I always use our Bonding Memories Glue (Item #1512, $6.95).  The liquid glue adheres much better to our chipboard than tape runners do.  Make sure you put adhesive over the entire area all the way to the edge of the frame.

Ariana Card Box and Cards

Ariana Card Box Class on Thursday, April 3rd, 6 p.m.  Please RSVP by March 24th.  We'll use the My Creations Journaling Cards Box and turn it into a wonderful box full of adorable cards.  Cost for the class is $15.  This would make a great gift item (think Mother's Day)!
