Interactive Card Workshop--June 10th or 17th

I've been having so much fun making these Interactive Cards for our class on June 10th or 17th.  If you'd like to learn how to make them, sign up to come join us.  Cost for the class is a $15 minimum order.  Class starts at 6 p.m. on both nights.

The first card is a Pop-Up Card Box (this one uses Jubilee paper and our June Stamp of the Month).

The next card we'll be learning is the Diorama Card--super easy (my kind of card).  I used some images from the Artbooking cartridge to create the scene for this card.

The third type of card we'll be learning is the Free Standing Pop-Up Card.  I've got two designs shown here, but we'll probably be doing the one with balloon for the class.

Card #4 is a card that I've seen around for a couple of years--I've just never had the chance to learn to make one on my own.  It's a Pop-out Birthday Gift Card.  It's a regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card that opens up to reveal three "stacked" gifts popping out in 3D style.  I tried several different measurements for this and finally came up with the one I liked.  I'll post them after my workshop.

June Specials!

It's a new month, and that means new specials!  We have an AWESOME Stamp of the Month for June.  "Kaboom" is filled with fun images that you can use for parties, Fourth of July, or any type of celebration.  As always, you can purchase the Stamp of the Month at its regular retail value of $17.95, or you can get it for $5 with any $50 purchase.  Either way, it's only around for the month of June, so get it before the month is gone!

Below is a Pop-Up Card Box that I made using the June Stamp of the Month.  You can learn how to make this at my Interactive Card Class on Tuesday, June 10th, or Tuesday, June 17th, 6 p.m.  Sign up today!  For my long-distance friends, I hope to put some general how-to info up on my blog once I finish making all my cards for the Interactive Card Class.

Our other special running for the month of June gives you a chance to purchase several collections of products at a discount when you have a $50 purchase.  The collections are valued at over $50, but you can get them for $30 with a $50 purchase.  You can order on my website, http://christina.ctmh.com

Here's a look at the bundles you can purchase.  Many of these products are retiring soon (or have already retired), so it's a great opportunity to pick up some things that you might have missed.

Embossing Fun!

I'm just loving our new Embossing Folders.  When you add embossing to a card, you can make a very simple design look SO elegant!  You can purchase any of our five Embossing Folders for only $8.95 each (visit my website at http://christina.ctmh.com).  Sign up for my Embossing Class on Thursday, May 29th, to learn fun tips for using our embossing folders.

For this card, I used the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder (Z1926, $8.95) on my Juniper CS.  I cut the card stock at an angle and stamped a sentiment on the corner of my card front.  The rose is from one of our retired stamp sets--I colored it with our watercolor markers.

For this card, I used the Damask Embossing Folder (Z1927, $8.95) on white cardstock.  The bow is cut from the Artiste cartridge.

I like using strips or blocks of solid cardstock that have been embossed (this one with the Dot Embossing Folder, Z1924).  Suddenly, a very basic card becomes more interesting because of the texture.

This card is made with the Lollydoodle paper pack and Dot Embossing Folder.

This card didn't photograph all that well, but it shows that you can sand our white core cardstock that has been embossed.  The sanding will turn all of the "raised" images white.

Cards for May Club using May Special

Thought I'd show off a couple more cards made with the Free to Be Me Paper Pack (our May special).  The top card is my design using one of the overlays from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge (I cut the overlay at 5 1/2" real dial size).  The stamp is from the May Stamp of the Month.  You can get the Free to Be Me Paper Pack AND the May Stamp of the Month for only $5 each with a $50 order.  PLUS, when you order through my website, http://christina.ctmh.com, you'll get a FREE My Reflections Paper Pack of your choice!  Just visit my website, click to join the "May Super Special" party on the bottom right, start shopping.  Do NOT add your free paper pack to your order--just send me a message and I will happily send your free paper pack separately to you!

This next card is a copy of one that Sheri Rottler designed (you can see her original at www.mysweetstudio.com). I just LOVED this card with the embossed background and had to make one for myself!  The stamp set is C1540 Hello Blooms.

Celebrate National Scrapbooking Month with our May Special!

It's true. . .beautiful paper makes for beautiful projects!  You'll love the fun embossed patterns in our Free to Be Me Paper Pack, available only in the month of May.  You can get a package of this paper for only $5 with a $50 purchase.  Plus, when you purchase the paper pack, I'll send you a free project guide with instructions and cutting guides for two adorable layouts and three cards.   Note:  the cards featured in this project guide use the May Stamp of the Month. . .you can purchase this stamp set for only $5 along with this special.

Below are the projects I made using the project guide that you will get FREE when you purchase the May special.  I did the layouts almost exactly like the ones in the guide, but I made a few changes on the cards to suit my own preferences.  Note that they used the May Stamp of the Month on all of the cards.

Yes, all of these furry friends belong to my family (the hamster, the cat, the dog, the guinea pig and the chinchilla).  And, yes, that IS a hamster on my daughter's head in the photo on the left!
