Cricut® Artistry Collection

Cards for my upcoming Card Marathon Class

I've got another card marathon class coming up Thursday, September 24, and Monday, September 28th.  If you're local and would like to attend, let me know right away.  We'll make 20 cards in one night (four each of five designs).  Here are the cards that I have designed for this round.

I love the simplicity of this card!  It's the same design, but you can just keep changing the background paper and the sentiment.  The black cardstock and Silver Shimmer Trim stay the same on each card.  The stamp set is C1633 For Family (a MUST HAVE, in my opinion).  For my Card Marathon class, we are using the Fundamentals paper (these are some of the retired patterns, but this will work with the new patterns or with patterned papers from any of our My Reflections paper packs).  

For some reason, I sometimes struggle to design good "guy cards."   Here's a simple design using the Urban paper pack that will work for masculine cards. . .but you could easily change the papers and make it more feminine.  The "Happy Birthday" design is from the new Artistry Cricut Collection.

Our paper designs this year are really easy to mix and match.  I've used paper from both the Georgie and the Zoe paper packs.  

Our September Stamp of the Month is just so beautiful, and it lends itself to a variety of stamping techniques.  We're going to be learning this fun inking technique at my Card Marathon Class.  Stay tuned. . .I may post some instructions for this inking technique on here as well.  

Everybody loves puppies, right???  I was so excited to see that we had animal images on the new Artistry Cricut Cartridge.  Here's a simple card idea inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest by Cat Nowak.  Mine's a little different than hers, but I wanted to give a shout out to her for the original idea.  The paper is from the Zoe paper pack (the check pattern is on one side and the dots on the other).  I believe I cut the puppies around 2 1/2" tall.  The hearts came from Artiste, and I cut them 2 3/4" and 3".
