Valentine Workshop--January 31st, 6 p.m.

Every year, I do a Valentine workshop, and I love it because it's a chance to make fun, 3D ideas!  This year, we'll be making this adorable Cricut-cut box (inspired by Consultant Beth Naumann) as well as this fun 3D desktop cube that I totally copied from Lisa Stenz (www.lisascreativecorner.blogspot.com), one of my FAVORITE Close to My Heart artists/Consultants.  I will also add another card and perhaps another 3D item if I feel we can get it done in one evening!  Cost for the class is only $10 --that's a bargain!

It's finally done!!!

So, the bathroom makeover took about a month longer than it ever should have, but I am so happy with the results!  Can't wait for my customers to come check it out when they come to my classes.  I'm really regretting that I didn't take a BEFORE photo, but I think most of my regular customers can remember what it looked like before--quite a transformation!

January Club Layout featuring Sonoma paper

This is the layout we'll be creating at our January club.  It looks a little blank without a title, but I know that most of my club members will want to give it a custom title.   Our Sonoma paper pack has such a classy look to it, and the colors work for a lot of different subjects.  They're also perfect for vintage photos.  We've also got some great stamp sets and accessories that work well with Sonoma.  I've used C1467 Sweet Moments as well as Pin Clips and Bitty Sparkles.

It's Elemental--January's Club Workshp Cards

I got the card design on the left from Consultant Kandi Gallegos-Garcia.  I love the way she used small squares of the Elemental paper to create a quilt-like look.

I've become a big fan of our Elemental paper pack because it is so incredibly versatile.  The small patterns can be mixed and matched and they can be successfully paired with papers from other kits.  These cards will be our club cards for the month of January

The design idea for the card on the left came from Consultant Emilee Smith, though I simplified my version a bit.  For my flowers, I used the stamps from the Rock the Block stamp set, our January special.  For the card on the right, I made use of our awesome Decor Journaling Spots, made to coordinate with the Elemental paper.  Basically, they're little pouches with slide-out tags that you can journal or stamp on--too cute!  I also made use of our January Stamp of the Month to show you how you can customize your card for a specific date.
