Easter's Coming!

I don't always offer an Easter workshop, but this year, we have such fun stamp sets and Cricut shapes to work with. . .how can I resist?  Plus, I think we have one of the cutest paper packs you could use on your Easter projects--check out the things I made with the Chantilly paper packet.  My workshop is coming up Thursday, March 21st, 6 p.m.  Cost for the class is only $10!
You'll find this basket on our Artiste Cricut cartridge.  I cut it at 2 inches.  The chick and the sayings come from the Easter Wishes stamp set (B1422--$9.95).  I stamped the chick in Staz-On ink and colored it with our new alcohol markers (I used the light shade of Honey, Sweet Leaf and Cotton Candy).

You'll find the egg-shaped card on our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I cut it at 5 1/2 inches.  I cut another single egg (also on the cartridge) the same size and ran it through my Cuttlebug to give it some polka dot texture.  The zig zag border is also on the AP cartridge.  The bunny is from the new Hoppy Easter set (B1423 $9.95).  Oops, I just noticed that one of my sparkles on my egg slid over before I photographed it. . .oh well!

I got this bunny treat holder pattern from Mary Thompson on www.cricutwithheart.blogspot.com  Be sure to check out her website if you'd like the exact measurements.  I used images off both the Cricut Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges, and I used Mary's suggested measurements.  For his ears, I used paper from the Chantilly paper pack and, for his whiskers, I used Colonial White waxy flax.  The bunny's mouth opens up to reveal a pocket inside--perfect for a gift card or a sweet treat.

I couldn't resist using our new Treat Tubes for at least one Easter project.  I filled the tube with jelly beans and stamped the chick from the Easter Wishes set.  Other than that, I just wrapped some paper from the Chantilly paper packet around the tube and cut some circle to mount the chick on.

You can't have an Easter class without at least one card about the REAL meaning of Easter.  I used our Chantilly paper, some Artiste flowers and images from the Hoppy Easter stamp set to create a beautiful Easter card.  The scripture stamp came from the Everlasting Life stamp set (D1440, $17.95).
